MixGrade, in one page.

What it is

MixGrade is an iPhone app that listens to a recorded DJ set and grades it. Drop in a recording and on-device signal processing measures what experienced DJs hear: beatmatching drift inside transitions, harmonic (Camelot) compatibility, energy flow across the set, loudness and clipping. The result is a MixScore from 0 to 100 with a letter grade, a report on every transition, an optional Shazam tracklist and a shareable score card.

The story

Every day, bedroom DJs post “rate my mix” threads in r/DJs and DJ Discords and wait for strangers to maybe respond. The tools market ignores them: mastering analyzers judge single tracks, DJ software helps before or during the set. Nothing grades the recording afterwards. MixGrade answers the “rate my mix” post in 60 seconds, with measurements instead of opinions, and turns the answer into a card built for exactly those threads.

The anti-subscription pricing is deliberate. Bedroom DJs already own controllers that cost hundreds and already pay monthly for too much software. MixGrade Pro costs $9.99 once, less than a single record, and the audio never leaves the phone.
